OVERVIEW: Be prepared to walk down the main street of the ancient harbor of Rome and to see sights that it is not possible to visit in Rome. Just 30 km away from Rome, Ostia offers in around 100 acres excavated an extraordinary and unique evidence of the ancient romans way of life. It seems to walk through a ghost town visiting the baths where inhabitants used to relax themselves. Elegant and thematic mosaics decorate the insides of the different dwellings together with fragments of paintings.

In a surrealistic silence it will be pleasant to step inside the ruins of ancient houses knowing how citizens used live. The political center of Ostia, the Forum, is overlooked by the Capitolium that housed the three main gods worshipped back then.

In Ostia we can also walk into an ancient roman theatre still used nowadays.

Take a visit that will last forever in your mind.
