In 1520 Raffaello Sanzio passed away in Rome. This year, a big temporary exhibition is celebrating the quincentenary of his death.

He left such a huge legacy in history of art that still today his remarkable mastery can be read carved on his grave in the Pantheon in Rome:

"This is Rapahel, in his life great mother nature feared defeat  and in his death she hearself feared to die".

This online tour wants to focus the works commissioned to Raphael housed in different spots in Rome. Not just the frescoes painted by him at the Pontificial Palance in the Vatican but also paintings and altarpieces that show the beauty and the grace of his brush.
